Lamar Farmers and Crafters Market is a community affair by bringing people from the
community together to socialize and enjoy items grown and created within the
community. Lamar Farmers and Crafters Market has been established to provide a
place for local artisans and farmers to connect with each other and the public while
supporting local businesses. The market has many purposes. It provides a place for
small businesses to be supported by local and visiting consumers. A place where local
artisans can showcase their talents while providing unique, handmade goods. Farmers
can market their local produce to the public at prices not available in local stores.
Consumers can buy and eat local products while meeting the farmers that grow the
produce. The market is in conjunction with Bee’s Butchery which is currently in the
process of being established. All proceeds from the market are donated to a local non-
profit agricultural program that is supported by Bee’s Butchery. It is a cycle where the
local community supports local merchants which returns to support the local community.
