Van is an all- purpose agent with extensive experience in land, acreage, residential, and commercial sales. He has over 25 years of experience buying & selling real estate, developing land, putting multi-tract commercial deals together, etc. He has experience with mineral rights and leasing as well as being something of a self-taught timber expert. He was in the residential construction business in the past and has a vast knowledge of building techniques. He is also a dirt-work specialist and has over 25 years of heavy equipment operating experience. Van also has testified in many local circuit court cases as an expert witness in easement petitions, condemnations, and probate disputes.
Van is also an elected official and serves as JP-3 in the Johnson County Quorum Court. He was formerly on the Johnson County Board of Equalization for 7 years and has a working knowledge of real estate tax rules and regulations. Van was also on the Clarksville Regional Economic Development Organization for 10 years after being appointed by a past Clarksville mayor and served his last two years as Chairman/President of that group. He is currently a member of the City of Clarksville’s economic development group known as CEDA and was appointed to that position by current mayor, David Reider.
Van has also been a member of the Clarksville Rotary Club for 25 years and has served in all leadership capacities within that organization. He put together many notable commercial projects including the Loves Travel Center at Exit #57, the Medical Marijuana facility at Exit #55, Whataburger at Exit #58, and numerous retail and service businesses in both Lamar and Clarksville.
